1450 Metal Color in Oil
The other day when I changed my oil, I found the oil had a metal tint to it when I cleaned the dip stick off with a Paper towel. The engine does make a weird rattle noise when mid to high idle. So I was gonna pull the engine and send it off to get rebuilt by my friend that works on small engines. Is there anything we should keep an eye on while it’s out?

ISO mounts. Cradle modification. Squeezing the front axle channel back to spec. Check the oil pan for stripped bolt holes and uneven wear.

When the engine is apart, do check the condition of the balance gears if equipped.
Most remove them, but they can be kept if they are in great shape or the bearing/shafts are renewed. Most are worn and a ticking time bomb.
