Mower Deck repair
Hello, I'm new here, so forgive me if I make some mistakes here.
What I have is a Deck that measures across it 44". But, the little plate on it reads 38-1 U1114. I take it that it is a 38" Deck right? What has happened is the Idler pulley has gone bad, would like to get a new one, does it come as an assembly with bolts and such or stand alone? Also, Id like to get some blades for it. I also am looking for a PTO clutch parts, or a new one for my 147 Tractor. |

The Idler Pulley is a stand alone part--- IH-542520-R91-----> 756-3006 The arm and hardware in sold separately. Blades should be as follows: * (1) 759-3835 CENTER BLADE 19.97LG H/C * (2) 759-3400-0637 OUTER BLADE 10.19 LG H/C) As far as the PTO Clutch for the 147, you can buy the individual parts, buy a Repair Kit, seek out a good used replacement (IH-546775-R92 PTO Clutch Assy) or send it to CC Specialties (sponsor at top of page) and they will rebuild it for you. Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
