100 w/Ag 8.5's" & 38" 3-spindle deck

Ran into a figment issue trying to put a 38" 3-spindle deck on my 100 that wears a set of 8.5" Tru-Powers on the back. For some reason the tires don't fit between the gauge wheel ears on the deck. I am using the subframe that came with the deck in the picture, which came from my parents' 100, though their tractor wears a set of 6-12 stock turfs on the rear.

Note: The stub axles only add approx. 1/4" to the width on each side.

Any suggestions on how to make it fit without cutting the ears off?

I know it's not what you want to hear, but you can either go to 6-12s or a 42" deck.

Get 6x12 tires as the deck is not made for 8 50's but there was a kit to mount the gauge wheels between the inside of the tires like this one,or get a 42"deck

I do have a 42" deck, a Part #2 ('68-71) version, though it's in a bazillion pieces. It's in the middle of a major rebuild.

You could get some wheels that would have an offset that would put the wheel/tire closer to the tractor .

I know that would be kind of a pain , different wheels/repaint/remount tires , just a thought !!

You could modify the under carriage a bit and move the deck forward, wouldn't be to hard.

just reverse the wheels,put the smaller offset outside...like a jd has
