1772 temp gauge
Anybody know of any good replacement for the temp gauge on a 1772. Kubota still offers one but they want $130. I can't find where the probe is on the engine if there is a probe. From looking at a wireing diagram there is non.
Any help well appreciated.

I would check with the sponsors at the top and see if they can help. I added aftermarket gauges on mine but had to replace the "gooseneck" where the thermostat goes so that I could mount a temp sensor on the correct side of it. The tap in the head is too small to mount the sensor I had. So far it looks like it's working okay because I mounted the original under the hood with the hour meter. We will see in 11 days at the Bama plow day when it's put to work. I purchased it and the dynamo bracket from Rich Patton and it is from a Kubota D722 diesel engine.
This wasn't hard but it's probably easier to find the correct gauge.

i went with a Sunpro gauge and sensor. the threads in the head are metric and the temp sensor is NPT. i just re-taped the sensor to fit the head. works great. cost me $35 all in.
