When I bought these cubs, it was my plan to bring these tractors back to life,
when I retire. Thats 3yrs 4 mo. 25 days...... I couldn't wait , so I started on the 100 .I've been mowing with it for two yrs. now.The 123 runs good but blows a little smoke. I then went to work on the 127. As the 100 it had a broken rod. There's a shop in town that turns the crank for $45 and bore for the same price.Man you gotta put oil in these things, but when they don't it gives me a chance for a good buy.I average less than a $100 for the cubs. But you have to when a good deal of work is needed. I do not mind putting the work into a machine that was heading to scrap when they had so much quality to start. The "61" has a serial # of 8140. I don't really have too many pics I guess I'm going to need to take some. The deers ran off. I'll post pics of the others later.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
