Drain Plug
Has anyone ever replaced the Drain Plug "gasket" on a K321 from a 1450.
I was changing oil today and the fiber gasket broke into pieces as I un-screwed from the pan. Sounds about right after 40+ yrs. Anyway, went to the Kohler site and the gasket is NOT listed as a separate part. Looks like they only sell the drain plug assembly.  What was used and where did one find a gasket...???

You can get a drain plug gasket from almost any parts store. They are like a harder plastic and work well. If you prefer the fiber washer, you can usually get them at a hardware store. Alot of times a brass washer will work too. You can get those at a hardware or auto parts store.

Well, I visited my local NAPA Auto Parts Store. They didn't have the exact gasket, but one that would work. And, for $.52, I walked out a happy man.
