Spring latch
Hey guys, working on a 126 and it the front of the frame where the rod goes across to hold the front of the undercarriage up is really loose and won't stay up. It just falls back down and won't hold the undercarriage in.
Anyone ever run across this? Parts diagram shows two springs but all my other ones don't have the springs and they stay up just fine. |

I had asked about these in my build thread (no response recieved, but I am a little long winded at times, readers may have fallen asleep before seeing it...LOL), glad I was gwacking around and stumbled on this! My 149, the new 129 frame and and older 125 I parted out were missing these springs, does anyone have a pic of how they mount on the tractor? Sorry if I seem to jacking the thread, but by the sound of things, we are in the same boat!

Not all of them, try to keep up with what is new...my wife gives me enough grief about it as it is...if I read them all, I might be reading them in the dog house (good thing I got a laptop and wireless internet...LOL!!!).

These are on a 1100 but they go on the same as the NF's
You have to remove the QA latch to get them on.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
