Default check book

just make sure you have a big check book and be ready to use it if you want to be competative . i just got the new midwest super cub catalog i see for a set of rear wheels they are up to 270 dollars. that is just crazy.the sad part is no matter what you are looking to buy you might as well buy it today because tomorow it will cost more.

think I paid $135 for my first set of aluminum wheels back in 83, you just got the 2 halves. you had to either bolt the halves together or weld them together yourself.
482, belt drive, 11 hp Briggs. are you putting gear drive rear in it and Kohler power?

What you'll need if you want bolt on parts is the clutch setup from a 582. The 582 has a different clutch hanger and release arm than the narrow frame models. 582 clutch diagram: http://www.partstree.com/parts/?lc=c...&dn=0027200011

Complete clutch setups show up on eBay every now and then or most of the parts are still available new.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
