This might not work out
I bought a 450 or 451 blower at a yard sale to fit to my 1250.
It is one heavy piece of metal and the 1250 has only manual lift. This may be the mislaid plans of mice and men. |

Yeah, That might stretch your arm a bit. Nice blower though. Maybe you could trade it with someone on here.

Best bet....CL it and spend the money on the correct snowblower for your QL...
The 1250 would be taxed trying to spin that not to mention all the fabrication needed to make it work. |

Which ever way you go, you need a lift assist spring to help you raise those heavy things.

I believe this is a model 551, which would be difficult to get setup for your 1250. Not impossible, but difficult. The three problems to overcome are:
- made for taller cyclops models (about 2 - 2.5" taller then your QL) - made for 6" tractor PTO and would run too slow on your QL - you really need hydraulic lift for this beast. Spring assist is an option, but not the best one if you get hard packed snow / ice that you need to bust through. |

Just in case you can't get rid of it and need to get creative, I added another spring assist for my haban 42, and it made a big difference, but it looks like you may have a few pounds on me with that one.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
