Question Blade Removal

Hello there.....time for another what-may-be-ignorant question. I have a LT 1042 made before 2007. I've removed the deck and flipped it over. I'm standing at the rear of the deck (discharge chute is on my left). Which way loosens the blade bolts - clockwise or counterclockwise? Thanks.

Do you have an impact wrench? They make it very easy to get a nut off.

It really don't matter where you are standing, always counter clockwise unless it's a older Mopar wheel lug, some were backwards.
Right to tight, left to loosen.

I have an impact driver and a breaker bar. Hopefully the breaker bar will work after soaking the nuts in some penetrating oil.

OK. Using breaker bar, now the pulley is turning. What's a good way to hold the pulley?

Never mind. Got it. Now for last (hopefully) time I bother you all on this.......does it make any difference on how the blades line up with one another?

No it does not. After you run it they will be in a different location from where you started anyway.
By the way, you are not "bothering" anyone questions are everyone's way of finding answers.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
