How well does a 59M shredder work?
I have a deal working for a 59M chipper /shredder working but have never seen one in operation and was wondering just how well they really work. I have a big DR chipper but that is only a chipper, not a shredder, it doesn't do much for leaves except blow them out whole at a high rate of speed. The DR is a great machine, it will gobble up a 4" oak branch like it was balsa wood but when it gets to the leaves it spits them out whole. I have a whole pile of chipped branches and leaves that I would like to grind up into usable mulch.

Never thought much of mine, so I gave it to my son.
I cracked some corn for the chickens once. It's just a hammer mill. With leaves it will do ok but it is not a chipper for other than small twigs. I find my deck with a mulch plug does about the same job shredding/chopping sticks/leaves. Google 59m chipper/shredder, there is a guy running one on yer tube
