New Member - New Owner
This fall I inherited a 124 with a QA36 snow thrower and a 42" deck from my grandfather. I found this site when doing some research which helped me rebuild the front PTO clutch (thanks!). I'm sure I will have lots of questions as I am more of a woodworker than an engine/metal guy - for the moment that is OK the 12hp Koehler runs great (other then the consistent backfire). I'm on my way downstate to pick up a snow blade this weekend as the thrower doesn't agree with my long gravel driveway or the constant slush we have been getting this winter.
Anyways, I can post some pics soon and I thank you all in advance for the advice I am sure I will receive going forward. Jason

Terry C: I presume you are talking about the mixture adjustment on the carb (forgive my ignorance). Is that to help the backfire or just an adjustment that is a best practice on these engines?
