Default 129 Restoration

I've been restoring this 129 as of late and figured I'd let you guys get a piece of the action too. It came into the family last Summer as a non runner, a new set of points and gas and it ran. I've been using it for the past year and finally tore into it a couple of weeks ago. I'm using Case IH paints on top of Rust-Oleum primer (just because I had about a dozen cans left of it).

No, the yellow was sprayed on via gun from paint that I mixed.

Great start
I'm interested in your results as I'm going to be using the same paint on my Original.

Here is my "pile" of parts after finishing the majority of white Sunday night. In case you're wondering the flourescent lights make the yellow look MUCH lighter than it is.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
