Default 2182 Winter Cab

Just got home from a 2 hour round trip with this Cub Cadet cab and a model 451 snow blower that was on c-list for 5 days and am shocked that it was still available.

I saw that, it was cheap too! I wish I had waited. Nice score!!

Could you scan the cab instructions and send me a copy? I've never found them on the net. It would be very much appreciated! PM me if you need help.

I'd be in for that as well, I wouldn't mind a copy in my library if possible

Is this part on top of these parts with the three fingers for the blower or cab? I can't see any use for it.

I'm not sure about the blower, but those aren't for the Cab.

That is for the chute on the blower. I guess its supposed to slow down any boulders you pick up! It is not shown in my manual, but I think maybe it is just to keep hands out of the impeller? I will snap a pic of mine tomorrow for you.

Here is a shot of where those fingers mount on a 451 blower. For some reason I see a lot of blowers with them removed from the chute, maybe it helps keep the blower from clogging in heavy, wet snow.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
