Default Heated Parts Washer under $10

I cobbled together a little parts washer out of old junk I had lying around a while back and forgot about the video. It's a bit rude and crude but it works a lot better than some of the high dollar models out there.

Hope you enjoy.

I like that. Flipped the lid to become the pan/strainer of it, very inventive sir.

When you’re done cleaning your parts, let’s get the turkey in there so it will be ready for supper!

No more turkeys in that bad boy. The coating on the pan chipped and got rusty, so I got a new one, but yeah, the lid made a perfect pan. I had the little pump lying around from another project, but it was just the cheapest pump Harbor Freight had to offer.

I'm using 2 parts Pinalen (Dollar General Pine Sol) to one part water as solvent and it works great. If the pump won't pick up, I've been topping it up with water. DO NOT use flammable solvents in a heated parts washer, especially this one.

I wanted to clean a 8HP Kohler carb,,
I used a $2 yard sale crock pot, and a 50% mix of Pine Sol,,,
one hour of soaking,, the carb came out perfect,,,

AND,, the shop smelled great for a week!!

Imagine how cool it would be if your crock pot vibrated and had a little pump in there.

The shop really does smell great.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
