Default JD rear engine rider value?

I have an original condition John Deere 55 rear engine rider with an almost fresh rebuild and a deck with not super tire. Pry not the best place to ask but cant hurt. I was just wondering if anyone knows the value of this thing. Its the only one ive ever seen and im having a hard time finding any prices out there.

Seriously though, even the green RERs usually don't go for more than $35 or from what I've seen unless they are nearly brand new and in excellent condition.

Not sure what they'd go for In Illinois but out here I see them on CL regularly. They list anywhere from $250 up to $500. The 250 - 350 range seems to have a fair number of ads "deleted by author" suggesting they are selling.

I sold one a few years back for $100, but the guy needed a mower for his yard in town.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
