A member asked me to make him a pin for his lift. "Sure, I can do that"
I went out to measure the ones on my 125 and my 122. I have two different lengths ![]() I have a two hole pin with an overall length of 9-3/4" on the 125. This pin has a cotter pin on the far side of the casting and the pin floats ( rotates ) ![]() ( click for bigger pic ) The pin on my 122 and extra cast piece have a single hole and are kept in place by a pin. They do not extend thru the casting. ![]() What's the correct length for the tiller? ![]() Would the floating double hole be better due to more adjustment available? Thanks Jeff |

Here it is I found it in this post. If you want a copy sent to your email let me .
Mike P.S. I just realized that might not be for the tiller. I'll check tomorrow for ya. The pin goes in sideways or should I say the hole in vertical. http://www.onlycubcadets.net/forum/s...ad.php?t=14444 |

That's the pin I have in the lift on the 125.
The shorter one is about 7-1/2" long, the 1/2" hole is 7/8" in from the end and the hole to secure it to the casting is 3-1/2" from the end. |

So it's the shorter 1.
I'll measure it for you tomorrow if I get a chance. Mike |

It looks like the inner hole on the long pin and the short pin have the same distance. |

Ok While we are talking lift pins.
The one I got had the hole going vertical like the bolt for the tiller would go through. But for a plow: the hole has to go across so the lift bars straddle it.. So I drilled another cotter pin hole through the base of the pin to allow it to rotate 90 degrees. Should I have different length pins for a plow and a tiller?? Regards, Chris

I'll put the picture up again ( click for bigger view ) ![]() You can see I have it rotated slightly for the picture. I can use it with the holes vertical or horizontal like that. |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
