82 series trans fill
I recently purchased a 782 and changed the trans oil. The problem is I can't find a manual that tells me how to service the tranny. I have done the basic, but how do you fill the tranny? Thru the dipstick tube? Is there a way to vent the trans, as this is very slow and the funnel has to "burp" and spews fluid out. Thanks

It is a pain in the butt, but yes thru the dipstick hole, or get the rear end way up in the air, take off the cover and fill from there. I think this is why a few of the guys here have put in case breathers to allow for easier filling. I have a huge syringe with a foot of clear plastic hose on it that I use for filling and topping off the rears with dipsticks.

I believe I read on here once, the relief valves are removed and this allows a faster fill. I have not tried it yet,, but I am when I change mine in my 1572.
