Hello everyone,
I recently left the Army after 9 years of Infantry life, and even more recently uprooted my family for the last time to settle down and share the land I grew up on with my aging grandparents. My two biggest hobbies are my guns and my garden. I'll try not to talk too much about either. My small Cub Cadet fleet at this point includes a series 1000, a 680 hydro, and a 109 as well as a 1A tiller. Even though they all have bugs that need worked out, they are by far the finest pieces of lawn & garden equipment I have ever owned. I love my CC's and can see myself getting up to my neck in them before I know it. I found OCC while looking for answers working on my 680. Seems like a great group of CC lovers around here. I plan on sticking around for quite awhile. Got lots to learn and drool over, and hopefully I can prove to be an asset as well (though doubtful lol). Thanks. |

Thanks for the welcomes.
I managed get a few pics for my photobucket album while working on the 680 tonight. I'm not satisfied with the work I did, but it got late so I quit. I'll get the pics up no earlier than Thurs. Tomorrow is our anniversary and I'm pretty sure I'll get in trouble if I spend all evening on the computer. |

Welcome to our little world of white and yellow with some red mixed in. Thank you for your service from a fellow vet. Cadets are much like guns, with a little care and consideration they will last a very long time.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
