Default Got a sickle bar
I got what ive always wanted a haban sickle I still have some bugs to work out but so far it works great on my 100

I heard the sickle mowers have alot of vibration , any comments on that ??? I had two incomplete mowers that i sold after hearing that , but i may have to try to find another one.

Nice score on the mower.

i see that one has been modified to fit on the frame rather than the front axle. you may wanna try to find the original axle mounts for it because it was meant to flex with the axle so the base of the sickle does not dig into the bump.

and yes these sickles cause allot of vibration, but thats the nature of the beast.

It does vibrate alot, i have the original mount i may try it out but i havent had any problems with it the way it is yet. It was modified in such a way that it can be put back to original

depends on the rpms.... sorda like having a wheel out of balance at different speeds. On my 73 just over 3/4 throttle is the "sweet" spot with the least amount of vibration. If the pulleys are good and round and everything lubed that's a big difference too.

Thanks guys! Ive still got some fine tuning to do to both the mower and tractor, the main drive pulley on the front of the mower is bent some so im going to try and get it as straight as i can and make sure everything is lubed well. Now im looking for as much stuff as i can find to cut just to get some seat time lol
