I am asking for some brake help with my 147. They do not fully engage with the pedal depressed all the way to the floor. I know how to adjust them and they are adjusted to the max
![]() ![]() Do the brake pads look worn out? ![]() ![]() Sorry if it doesn't show much. I didn't take the wheel off, and that probably would help. The brakes do engage some; with the pedal locked I can still turn the wheel and the caliper will move, evident that the brakes are engaging, just not enough. I haven't done much with adjustment as I can operate the hydro just fine and stop that way, but I would like locking brakes. Thank you!

They look a bit thin from the pic. You may be able to put a shim between the lever on the caliper and the pad to get a little more out of them.

If you only need to adjust them a little more try putting some washers between the brake arms and the adjusting nuts.

Did some more work on the cub- today it was brakes. I got them tightened up with a nut on each side that acts like a spacer.
![]() ![]() The wheels lock easily now, but only when the engine is off. When it is on the hydro is trying to go in reverse with the pedal depressed the entire way. Guess it's back to the manual to see how to adjust that. At least I have a parking brake.............

That's because when you hit the brakes while in forward or reverse it moves the hydro to neutral, that's how it is supposed to work.
