Default FInally!! Super Thursday!! A 2084!!

I was patient, I waited, I was selective and picky as usual, and was rewarded!!

This '94 Cub Cadet 2084 came up on CL yesterday, and I was there within 5 hours of it listing. Got it from a green guy who got it one-owner from the JD dealer as a trade on a zero-turn (as usual). The green guy is in real good with the dealer and buys trade-ins and services them and turns them back out on CL. He was happy to sell it as it was polluting his green environment!

A completely over-greased tractor and mower deck, it has 824 hrs on the Command 20, but could pass for much less. After I wiped everything down today, there was a solid, clean tractor underneath with hardly any rust at all! Needs a couple things around the edges, and will get a total tear-down over the summer, but I'm really pleased overall. The original left front tire was split and the center of the rim had broke through so I got that rusty rim thats on it and a non-matching tire. The Haban deck is a brute! Has the usual tire wear marks but is super solid and quiet (no doubt thanks to the over-greasing). Now I have the perfect Super to couple up to that pretty 551 snowblower I got over the winter.

Can't wait to get back from vacation and give this beast a test mow down in the big field. I'm soo happy I came across this one! I've been waiting for the right replacement to come along since I sold the last 2084 and blower. The 60" deck is really overkill for me, but it DOES JUST fit in the #1 shed. These Super Cyclops tractors are the bomb!

Thanks, Guys! I'll find plenty of stuff to get into with that Super. And, yes, the perfect tractor find is the best!

Default 2084

Nice one, Tom. I have a 2086 super that I love. Unfortunately, it is too big for my property so I will likely be selling it on CL like you found yours. I think it has less than 300 hours on it. What a brute! I have a 1641 that I added hydraulic steering to a few years back that I mow with and push snow. Great tractor and it is more suited to my property size. LOVE the Cyclops CC's!!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
