Default new to me 102

Hi everyone,

I just bought a 102 and I'm trying to get it ready to cut my grass but am in need of the deck belts. If any body would know the belt sizes or where I could find them that would be awesome. It has a 38 inch deck with the cast iron ends. When I search on the web I get all different sizes. Thanks for any help. I'll get some pictures soon. I bought it not having been ran it 3 years. All i did was put a battery in it and it started on the 3 year old gas and ran very well a lot quieter that my 125 thanks for the help.

Congrats on the 102! Looking forward to pics.
Go to Technical Library Tractors and scroll down to third entry and you will see Belt Chart.

For belt sizes, go to the Technical Library - Tractors. Open the Belt Chart thread. Click on Cub Cadet Belt Chart. Then you will see all belts for cubs!. Your 102 witha 38" mower deck will take a 3/8" x 81" PTO belt.

I suggest using cub cadet belts. They last much longer than other brands.

Good luck with your 102!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
