Buyers remorse - need more space and mula

Looked for some time for a super last year. few to none to be found. Ended up with a 2072 I picked up the super last fall to do snow with my son. One of those " this thing is great and needs nothing" Paid more than I should have. Now this spring there supers showing up everywhere. and a diesel (1782) pops up. All much cheaper. Need work but with nicer decks than I have. No way I can nab any right now.

Well I did get a very nice Haban blade with the 2072.

Don't think I'd lose any sleep over not getting those 2. That 1782 looks like it's been rode hard and put away wet.

If he had washed that super in your 1st picture, I'm sure it would command much more that his asking (very cheep IMHO) price and it would have caught many more eyes of folks, (newbies really) that might be scanning the ads and not knowing what they were looking at.

Appreciate the notes of sanity. Frustrating that there were few supers for sale until I bought one. Agree the 1782 had a hard life. Since it would turn red, I would have to be able to put old sheet metal on it to keep it.
Rule of life for me has always been buy high sell low.

But you know... once you have it you should forget completely what you paid. Water under the bridge. And I would hate to feel bad about it just because I thought I paid too much.

And conversely, which is happening to me. I dont want to buy something just because it was a good deal.

Buy the one I want. If a good deal great. If not, still got the tractor I wanted. And as noted, you cant be sure what any of these others are all about. The one you have is the one you know (even if a devil in itself).

I think this site needs to have weekly therapy meetings for some of it's more buy-happy members, call it Cubby Counseling.

And to the OP, don't let it get to you because you know what? After you buy one Cub, there will ALWAYS be another for sale the next day, next week, next month...we've all been there. Heck, the day after I buy a Cub, I'm back online looking for the next deal. Just enjoy what ya got and if you can get another one day, great! If not, no harm no foul. Plus who's to say that if you got one of those two you posted, the engine or tranny or something wouldn't blow up the next day.

Now, I think we all are waiting for pics of the one YOU got, everyone's just too polite ask for 'em!

Frustrating, BTDT as well. I, too think washing something, especially the obvious "barn find" 1782 would help with the sale. Prolly could pick it up for $1000. Sam's right though. Rode hard and put away wet. No three pt or rear pto either.........

Thanks guys, I was just feeling a bit glum this morning. Knew you all would Cub slap it out of me. lol Not getting a Super without 3pt again unless real cheap.
Really I am in honesty pleased with the 2072. It is in decent shape. Just needs a little TLC here and there. And some may think not even that. If it had a 3pt I would have been completely alright with it. Already purchased just not on yet. I was very lucky on the 782 purchase. Even has a new looking wiring harness. Really clean and tight machine.

I have posted pics here and there but not lately. Work, funerals, family and weather have all taken a toll so far this year. I have plans for attachments and now are moved out for a while so was feeling the frustration. Cubs and Farmalls are my release from the Telecom world.

So here are pics I was given recently of "fixing" the yard last fall. Nothing new with the 2072. Misplaced my GoPro so missed out on the snow captures this year.
Sams tiller so is his fun. He let me play a little on the 682. Was pretty green grass then hauled dirt gravel and a building over it. All packed and get to do it again.

I disagree and would be all over that 1782 for the money. It even has the plastic behind the muffler that is almost always broken off. Ya get the best rear with the 30mm axles, cv driveline and probably one of the better decks used. Looks a little dirty and I would check for a broken rear but not too shabby.

Something I have learned the hard way...

No matter HOW carefully you shop and research a purchase, once you buy it, the next day it is on sale somewhere else much closer to home and for far less than you paid.....
