Georg:

Nice line up of tractors you have there. Seems the "red fever" has bitten you good.

I spent a couple of years in Germany and was suprized how popular IH and JD were. I saw more of those than European made tractors.

@Amigatec,

IH has a Factory in Germany from 1908-1997, and John Deere purchased the Factory of "Lanz", in 1958.

The first Tractor Line has the Name "John Deere-Lanz", and since the middle of the sixties, its a John Deere Factory.

The IH Factory was in Neuss/Rhine, and the John Deere is in Mannheim.

I know I saw more of them than any other tractor, they looked a bit different but they were still IH and JD's.

I spent 27 months in Berlin (Army) and have been to several city/towns thru out the western side of Germany.

Beautiful Country and Wonderful People!!!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
