well guys went by the local used tractor place dont ever have much for good out front until I saw this red cub cadet I swerved in and had to look had the power angle plow on the front, asked the guy how much he said 700. I asked if he had anything else, he said a nice mower deck so I went to look at it and its really nice just surface rust on underside hardly any use. so now comes down to price he wanted 900 for it all. I brought it home for 800 plow and deck only has 667 hours on the KT-17 series 1 so it should be good for a while , ill get some pics up soon gonna go through it and see what it needs, only a few thing and a wash it wouldn't look to bad but new paint is what I like

That sounds like a good deal. I paid nearly that much for my 782/784 and I didn't get the plow!

That's real sharp. I'd love to have a set up like that. Ready to work.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
