Default Will 16hp pull a 48" deck with a fan-assisted bagger?

I have a CC 2166 with the 16hp Kohler. It came without a deck and I finally found a 48" three-blade deck in mint condition. The deck came with an unmounted belt-driven Model 292 fan assist blower to help move clippings up to the bagger.

The 16hp pulls the 3-blade deck OK in low grass without the blower installed, but I'm concerned adding the blower, especially if grass is high, might be a strain on the little Kohler.

It's unknown what horsepower machine from which the deck came, but most with that 48" are at least 22hp.

Thoughts?

16 single or a 18 hp twin Kohler pulls a 50" deck just fine, or @ least mine do

48" deck yes, not sure about the fan assist bagger, it may just be a bit much.

If you're talking about dry glass clippings, I wouldn't see a problem. If you're taking about wet leaves....................

I have a fan assisted bagger on my 3205 with a 21HP Kawi and it does put a little bit of a load when I hit heavy grass.

My 1641 runs a 48" deck effortlessly. Fan assisted bagger, wish I had one!
I'm guessing would run just fine.

I have a 48" deck that I am rebuilding for my 2166. Can you tell me which tractor model that your deck came off of?
Thanks....Wes Thompson

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
