Default Snow Plow Question. HELP!

I have a snowplow that fit on my grandpas 125 cub cadet and I am trying to put it onto my 1811 can I do it because it seems that the frame is wider than the plow blade and the pins wont line up into the spring loaded thing that holds on the mule drive in the front. Please help me.

No, the 125 is a narrow frame and the 1811 is a wide frame. You will need a different subframe.

Check the sponsors at the top of each page, should be able to find one. Or put a wanted in the for sale section of the forum.

I would not confuse "wide frame", meaning the actual Wide Frame Series, and Quiet Line Series with the model 1811. Seems to me, the 1811 has a wider frame than a wide frame model. Some call it a "spread frame" ?

Just saying,........

1811 has the same width frame as the "wide frame". It is just spread at the base of the engine to allow a twin cylinder to go into it. Same attachments fit a "spread frame" as a "wide frame".

Thanks J-Mech, and Olds! I assumed the model 1811 was similar to my previous model 1211, which has the spread frame.

Yep. 1211 and 1811 use the same frame, different motors.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
