Yeah, that was cool. I don't recall if that was a first for this group or not.

Cool. Wonder if that's the first time tractors went to Washington since the protest back when Carter (I think) was in office?

Geez, you are right. I forgot about that. Probably not the same group, but now remember a Tractor protest from back in that era.

I remember the tractor drive to Washington way back when. Several local farmers participated. One of my best friends was front and center at the protest and made local farmers proud with his efforts!

Seems like a good trade off. I can put five Cubs where one car sat and there are no titles or license to fool with!

Did anyone notice young Barron. That was about the most antimated I saw him all day. Man what a tractor does for the young ones. Too bad he could not get a ride in one.

Yeah Paul I noticed that too. He looked totally bored most the time, but when the tractors rolled down his demeanor changed. Even rich kids like tractors.

This was about the coolest thing I saw! My uncle drove his tractor from Coldwater Michigan there and back. I'm hopeful for the immediate future!!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
