Default 782D Electric PTO kicks out

My 782D runs great. But the Electric PTO kicks out after 30 mins of mowing. The blades will just stop. I replaced the PTO switch itself same thing. The next move is to remove the PTO itself clean and inspect than set air gap and cross fingers. My research found the electric PTOs are NLA

I think that means you need to adjust the air gap.

You have to look up the PTO under "PTO and mounting". Item #5. Hang on to your arse!

I highly doubt the coil is bad, but it could have a break in the coil that only opens when it gets hot. I'd go to xtreme for a new one if I was in the market. May look different, but will work the same, and cost much less.

I have 2 extreme clutches and they are better made imho. Plus plus they have awesome customer service. Just be sure your voltage is correct, they will work with it not but will not last long.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
