When does j-mech get out of time out? I miss his input, opinions and his sometimes spirited comments.
![]() I haven’t been on this forum for very long, when I first joined I was at first a bit surprised/shocked with some of his responses but they all came with a great deal of expertise with them. He may not be the friendliest responder on the forum but he is one of like 10 people that respond with fast concise answers every time.

You need to use the right bait to lure him out: Hey, my 1811 wheel bearings seemed loose and when I inspected the spindles they are 10-20 thousands narrow where the bearing races contact the spindle. Is there a way to shim under the race or should I buy some good used spindles? Maybe I'll go cheap and use some JB-weld to build it up.
Wait for it, wait for it..........

He’ll be back when the administration stops being petty and other people act like adults.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
