Pulled the 1450 out of storage and it had a leak from the tube on the bottom. Doesn’t appear to be loose, what is the fix? New tube, seal, bushing? Rather know before I take it apart. Photos wouldn’t upload.

Are you sure??? Very common problems are relief valve leaks and cork gasket. They are above the tube and it could mislead your analysis.

Clean the area well w/some solvent.
When dry, douse the area completely with baby powder and wait. The leak will leave a trail in the powder leading you right to the leak. And your Cub will not only thank you but smell good as well!

I scrapped a perfectly good rear like that, brand new relined disc brakes, all new seals etc /because I was tired of tripping on it and I offered it here in the classifieds for free even and had no bites.

I will have to clean it some more but after what I whipped off I don’t see any runs coming from above, again I wish it was easier to upload the photos to show you.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
