1772 steering
The steering on my 1772 is loose. I don't think there is slop, it just takes alot of attention while mowing on the uneven, large portion of my yard and is tough to keep a straight path. Is there a way to tighten things up so as it isn't sensitive to slight bumps and dips? Or possibly adding a stabilizer?

Take your foot on one of the front wheels and rock the wheel back & forth. Does your front axle move? If it does you can tighten it up.
Most likely your steering cylinder is leaking internally causing you to keep adjusting the wheel. You can cut them open and replace the O rings if you have the tools. If you don't it will need replaced.
