Nonsense!! The 123 is THE BEST cub cadet ever made!!! That's why it was assigned those #'s........It's 1 for the $$, 2 for its show, 3 to get ready and oh boy you should see it go!!!

782 IMO...that body style lasted 10 years with minimal updates for a reason.

Curious? What would the price tag be about or around on a decent 782d? And who makes the engine?

Cha Ching!!!! $$$$$$$$$$$$

There are a couple of nice looking 782's on evil pay right now. One with probabaly everything you would want, except a snow blower, tho it does have a blade, yard roller, electric sprayer, tiller and 50 inch deck. Might be more. A little under 2 grand is the starting price. Neither one are Diesels. Diesels are just plain hard to find. Like a needle in a haystack.

I like the NF but love how my 1200 rides and looking forward to it's rebuilt engine at the redneck plowday! I'm more of a gear drive guy but hydro's have their place like running my tiller!

FYI I know where there's a 782D for sale with a CI rear end for a little more then the ebay one. Pm me for details so we don't turn this into a for sale listing talk

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
