Default NC Summer Plow Day!

I just got off the phone with David Green and here's the details.

The event will be held in Albemarle NC. About 45 min due east of Charlotte. It will be held on Aug 6th. We will have a meeting at 9:00am then start plowing after that.

Jim Moore is the man who's land we will be on and he said it would be fine if you came the night before to camp. No hookups and "don't catch his woods on fire!"

Address: 44273 Moutain View Church Rd. Albemarle NC, 28001

We we're in his back yard last time. This time it's front yard time! The same address will work. We'll be about 1000 feet from where we was last fall. Jim is part of a big tractor club and some big tractors will be there but room will be made for us.

There will not be any food there this time. So fend for yourself or follow the fleet of tractors heading to the restraunt down the road.
I know it's short notice! Jim loves these short notice plow days! It's great that he thinks so highly of our little tractors that he wants us to keep coming back! Jim's got 11 acres for us to plow. Let's start the roll call and getting a head count and please spread the word. I do expect to have a Fall plow day at Jim's place but he hasn't told us yet. We'll try and get more notice.

Thanks to Jim Moore and Dixie Turf Toys for making this happen!

I'll be there with something still working out the details! I'm planning on having Evan and myself plowing.

Heres a pic for a little inspiration.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
