Interesting, I was wondering what I could reasonably tow (move) with a Cub Cadet. I have a car hauler trailer, about 1,800 lbs empty I think, with pretty heavy tongue weight. I also have to put it in a spot that eliminates using my truck (back into a barn & turn it sharp). I use a 2-wheel tongue dolly now, takes help to push (not fun) and the weight is likely more than it was designed to move, thinking it will fold up on me soon.......:Pray:
Nice hitch set-up, you got me thinking now! :bigthink:
Thanks for sharing,

I move this boat ( 18' open bow w/ 4.3L V6 Merc crusier and Alpha I outdrive ) with my 125 using my sleeve hitch adapter and my ball adapter.

I can even tow it up my driveway with any problem at all.

The snow thrower may have been the only thing keeping the front tires on the ground :biggrin2:

I'm still amazed that it did it so effortlessly... I figured u would get off the driveway and be stuck. Next time we need a vid!!

Ya, video would be nice. :biggrin2: I'm sure the tongue heavy trailer greatly increased traction!!

offroadphotog, are your tires loaded?

How do you like the tire chains/strapes?

I will add, I have 10.50s on my 125 and they are loaded with some type of fluid. ( don't know what, I purchased the tires already filled ). That does make a major difference.

Back when I was in high school (many years ago) I would use my 122 to move sail boats from the parking area to the launch hoist during Regattas at the Yacht club where I worked. No trick to move 50 boats in & out during the weekend. People would take one look at me and laugh, until the cub dragged their boat to and from launch area. Never missed a beat.

Great work. Its amazing that the tongue weight alone didn't loft the fronts off the ground but yeah I guess the blower was enough ballast to keep it down, good job.
