You can get the copper tubing at any Autozone or Advance. They usually stock it next to the gauges.
I've had trouble with the nylon tubing leaking at the compression fittings. |

The only other option there is as far as I know if you don't want nylon or copper is braided stainless steel line. See link below. For the price, I would just step up to an electronic gauge with a sensor.

Just a FYI be careful with the oil press line connections they are fragile and don't fit all that well. So far no problems with the plastic line but the connections at the gauge suck.

I ordered a set of the 1 1/2" and 2" gauges yesterday and they showed up today.
I use refrigeration capillary tubing and then slide some 1/4" FR pneumatic tubing over the copper to protect it. So far it has worked well. Attachment 66353 Attachment 66354 |
Thanks for the info guys..:beerchug:
Now, would the electronic gauge with sensor be as accurate? For me the instillation process would be much easier. Than trying to get the brass tubing all tucked away. If there's not a BIG price difference, simple would be worth it, and no chance of oil leaks... your thoughts! |
