Hello from Massachusetts

Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

I am happy to join this group with acquisition of a 1963 CC 100. I have spent several years restoring vintage John Deere round fenders (including a 1963 110) and I was looking for something different with classic features. After looking around at various brands, I knew the IH CC was perfect as soon as I saw it.

It also came with a 38 deck, 3 point hitch and spare transaxle.

I have a lot to learn and look forward to learning from everyone here.

Bill

Thanks guys I am really looking forward to this project. I do have a basic question. ( I will create a restore thread when I get going) I have read some about paint and that it should be Federal Yellow. That there is a difference in the early models color to the current models. Is the school bus yellow a good match or should I stick with the Federal Yellow. Also what white is used?

Thanks

Bill

Nice looking machine you have there. Nothing wrong with a 110 Deere, grew up on one and it still gets leaf duty in the fall. So is this going to be a full restoration?

Welcome aboard Bill. Your CC 100 is a nice little tractor. It will be a fun project to learn on. There is a tremendous amount of combined knowledge here on the board. If the guys don't have an answer, they know where to find it.

Nice starter machine Bill, Cub 100 with what looks like a good pan seat, straight sheet metal, decent front blade, wheel weights and a weight box. I'm surprised it didn't have aux. hydraulics.

Current plan is a full restore. I am sure it will be slow during the winter. I have not had much time to really think about it. I just finished doing leaves and need to do some maintenance on a couple others before I get involved. Not to mention get them ready for snow duty.

Welcome to OCC, nice 100.

Welcome ! Nice model 100! This series did not have a safety start switch, so keep that in mind if there be children around. The safety switch would not be available until the next IH Cub Cadet series garden tractors.

Looking forward to your experience!

Happy Thanksgiving Day back at ya!

John

Nice 100! And welcome. I see a creepy gear too and I'm digging the although backwards bobcat style rear tires. Those must be some diggers with those wheel weights and added weight box. Again, welcome, and happy thanksgiving

smalljob 11-24-2016 09:40 PM

Too funny good catch on the tires. I totally missed that.

Thanks for the tip on safety interlocks or lack there of. When the grandkids are around they love to climb on the tractors and the keys are always out, but you never know.

Very nice little 100... those are some of the best narrow frames built.
It left the factory in 483 IH federal yellow.. and IH 901 white.. Be carefull trying to find close matches... they don't always work out... just one shade off and they look funny!:beerchug:

I think you will find this 100 to be alot beefier than the John Deere's you are used to.

Good luck!! We are here to help and encourage!!:beerchug::beerchug:
