Here's some picture's of the new toy. Brought it home yesterday, long trip in a major snow storm with a near death experience. Long story but we made it home ok. Came with a like new deck.

Great looking tractor in the snow. I should have my new to me 782 home in a little over a week. Hard to wait for new toys. LOL. Congrats on the new toy. :) :beerchug:

That's one of the nicest 582's i've seen.

Nice 582!!
Sweet tractor Junior! I never thought I'd buy a square fender cub let alone a red one, but I really like the 82 series, what a great line of tractors. Congrat's on your new toy, feels great to get a new cub:beerchug:

I still have a 169 I am waiting on to be delivered and a 129 I just picked up a week or two ago. The 129 will be my daily worker for awhile. And my 128 in a hundred pieces. That will be this years project. |

Well got it tuned up and changed the oil, purrs like a kitten. Here's a couple picture's from today she's pretty clean under the hood needs a little clean up but not much. Took the polishing compound to it to and the paint looks new. Took a shot of the bottom of the deck to. I'll get it out in the sun tomorrow and get better picture's of it. Thanks for all the compliments.

Cool pics, Eric! That's one fine 582!

Alright guys I have a question. The grill on the 582 doesn't have the small black bars in it like all the others I have seen. The grill in it looks like it never had the bars or the small hole's at the top for the retaining springs. My question's are did they use two different grills and I just never noticed before and should it have the black bar's nin the grill or not? I did get it out today and took her for a spin. Man what a difference those Autolite plugs make. It runs like a top. I think I'm going to really like this tractor!!!! The only thing I don't like are those front tire's, they don't turn at all in the snow, lol. Here's a shot of the grill and a shot I took today while I had it out. Thanks again for the compliment's.

Yes that is an early 82 series grill...nice find! |
Cool, good to know thanks Jay. Guess I'll keep it!
|
Very nice Junior,
Is that the original paint? The 582 I had had the same grill but it also had the grill screen in there. |
Thanks, No it's been repainted, not sure how long ago. Yea I saw the grill screen on the parts look up but it said it wasn't for the early 582 :HeadScratch:? Should it have it? If so looks like I'll be looking for one.
|
You don't want the screen. The reason it was removed is because it collects debris and then the muffler starts it on fire.
|
Can anyone else see Matt's post? It said he posted on the thread but I don't see it. I'm sure he had some good advice, just can't see it. I guess all it took was for me to post behind it because now it's there. good advice just as I predicted, Thanks Matt.
|
She's looking great Eric! I think there has been a delay with posts showing up..I notice that with Matt's post too....
Jeff (teet) |
Thanks Jeff, Yea as soon as my post went up Matt's showed up:Unknown: I thought I was going crazy, lol.
|
I've noticed that with other people's posts at random, as well. Now I probably got us all confused again...:BangPC:
|
582
Hi Jr. Really nice. What autolite plug did you use in the 582? Thanks Mike
|
Thanks Mike, I used Autolite plug #458.
|
Throw some v61's on that baby and she'll turn just fine.
|
Yea, I'm not a big fan of the v61's, I don't care for the look that much. I'm sure they work good I just don't like the look of them enough to spend that much on them. I'm not sure what I'm going to put on it yet. I'm thinking 23x10.50x12 Tru Powers on the rear and, 3/4" spindels on the front with some narrow rims and tri ribs.:biggrin2.gif:
|
Adrian,
Do you have a tractor with the 16x6.50 size? I'm thinking about a pair for the 128, I'm getting. |
