New Cub 122 owner
Hello, I'm in Independence, MO and new owner of an old 122 that I bought to pull a barrel train I'm building. My wife and I are volunteers under the Nat'l. Fragile X Foundation as LINKS leaders. LINKS is Linking Individuals Nationally in Knowledge and Support. Last year we hosted our first major fundraiser which went extremely well. Shortly after, I saw photos of a barrel train used by an autism group in St. Joseph, MO during one of their events. I knew then I had to get one. I bought our 122 from a gentleman who usually rebuilds/resells them for fun, but after his wife fell he was unable to fix the machines he had, but still needed the cash for Dr.'s bills. I saw the 122 and knew I had found a great machine. We had to replace the steering shaft as the cam housing had been split in two, but the guy had one that he sold me with the tractor. We changed the well worn air filter, greased a few zirks, and it fires right up. It runs pretty good, I'm happy with it. Only thing I wish I had for it right now is a serial number, the tag is no longer attached under the seat. I understand the number was also stamped into the reduction gear housing, is that true? And if so, how difficult is it to view without pulling the rear fender assy.?
