snow/dirt blade lift arm

Any one seen this type of lift arm on a blade? I've looked at tons of pictures and haven't run across one that looks like this. I'm making my own plow mount since I can't find one without a blade for less that a c note. Is it for a "float" type blade?

I think that"s for an 82 series tractor. I have 1 just like it.

Ok, so since I'm making my own mount it should work on my narrow frame?

It is for 82 series. I just picked up a 42" from a 682. I think the slot is for when you push dirt it won't bend the lift rod.

That's not an 82 series bracket. It looks similar, but someone made that one.

Mine just has a hole, no slot.

Duke isn't the only one to get a "Monday" IH decal!! :biggrin2:

I would think the slot would be nice on a hydraulic lift.

What would be the advantage of a slot on a manual lift??

Haha someone was backwards that day!

It all depends on how you look at it. From the front seat or in front of the tractor! There is supposed to be 2 holes to lock the lift arm with a flat plate. I'm not sure if mine has it or not but have seen them with the locking plate. Also it's a 5/8 rod not a 1/2 rod.

So this one is stock?
The two holes are for a lock plate?
What is the purpose of the slot?
