How I Tighten Tire Chains!
I have heard the deflate-inflate method. I do not want to be deflating-inflating when the snow is flying and the chains shift and become looser.
The rubber car binders are too big and dry rot in a couple years. I like steel! http://i1104.photobucket.com/albums/...048640x639.jpg That spring is extended about 1/2". The chain is a piece left over after I cut the chains to fit the 23x10.50's. As the chains shift during use, the slack will be taken up. Did I miss anything??:bigthink: I will slap these on the QL1000 when the snow flies!! |

I like'em better than the bungie cords I use. Nik, |
I deflated my tires when I put the chains on about 5 years ago. I have not had a problem with them moving at all. I even deflated and filled them with fluid this summer. They went right back to were they should be.
If you get them on correctly and tight, they will not move. |
