Has anyone ever used tires similar to these?
 

I am thinking of upgrading tires on my 682. I only mow with this one once in a while. ( Maybe 2 or 3 times a summer). I am going to go up to 26x12x12 for the awesome look. Has anyone ever used this type of atv tire on their garden tractors? How do they look and perform? Pics would be great !!! Thanks, Jason

Unless your going to change the front tires and change the lifting height of your mower deck I would stay with tires size you already have.:TwoCents:

I added 26" tall radial rear tires, but, the tractor is not intended for mowing.

I've never used those tires, but I have 26x12x12 ags on my 1282 and I mow with it every week. There's no problem with front tire size or deck lifting height. You may have to re-level your deck which takes about 10 mins. but nothing major. Their a little tight on the fenders but they clear fine.

I have the 26x12x12 on my 1811, Carlisles I believe. I guess I was wondering more if the composition of the tires were an issue because they were atv tires. Do they excessively make the tractor bounce if I mow with it etc......
I assume these shouldn't tear up a yard anymore than ag tires would.

That tractor looks too nice to take out and get dirty. How about some pics and info on the rear wheels, I'm looking for some cool wheels for my 2182.

Well, I restored this 1811 3 months ago. My Grandfather purchased it new and I inherited it after he passed on. It doesn't see any yard work. As a matter of fact, I hasn't been out of the garage yet since it was completed.
The wheels are douglas puller wheels. If I remember right, they were about 6 inch backspace. The tires are 26x12x12 Carlisles. The clearance was really close between the fenders and the tires, so to be safe, I shimmed them with 3 washers per bolt to raise the rear. I only wantd to raise them enough th clear without issue. They actually cleared before I lifted the rear fenders, but the extra 1/2 inch of washers made me feel better. I also took the factory muffler off and used chrome pipe to make dual exhaust come through the grille. It is a little loud, but sounds like a cammed V-8 at idle. LOL!! I am doing my mother in laws 782 now, then my 682 is going to be redone. I want the bigger rear tires on it as well, but will stay with the factory wheels on it. Much cheaper that way!!!!! The red steering knob was kept in place for semtimental reasons. Every time I get on it, I turn in to a 12 year old kid again. LOL!!!

Your 1811 is so sweet! Great job on it!

Hi,I have a set of atv tires on a 582. You will have to use a very low air pressure. They are alright on the grass,but on a harder surface the will jar every bone loose in your body.ask me how i know,like driving a steel wheeled tractor! Mike:bash2:
