o-rings

Howdy. I am going to replace the o-rings on the relief valves and the question I had was do I need a special type of o-ring or can I use the ones at the hardware store? Will the hydraulic fluid eat away at them?

As long as they are the correct size that should be fine. I have never heard that they were a special O ring, but I haven't had to replace any either.

There are special o-rings that can handle the hydraulic fluid. Contact a local hydraulic store near you and get some. When I was in QA we had to keep track of which o-rings were used.

Ahh, ok, that is good to know. Just hoping I don't have to worry about that for awhile. And when it does I'll probably mess up and get the wrong ones anyway... LOL
