Gasoline question

Hello all! Was wondering what octane of gas do you use in your tractor? 91 or 87? Thanks,..Brian:beerchug:

Just my 2 cents but I use Shell 93 only because it's the only thing in this area without ethanol. I have better things to do than rebuild carbs.:biggrin2:

I use 87 and pay the 10 cents extra to get no ethanol!! :bigthink:

I would use the 93 if it were the only thing available with no ethanol.

Amen to that. In my town our shell station is the only station that sells a grade of gas without ethanol. It usually only comes out to be a dollar more per 5 gallon can so like sam said. I also have better things to do then rebuild green nasty carbs

87 octane with 10% ethanol and don't have any problems with it.

First thing you need to do is check a Kohler service manual. There is one in the tech section of the site.

Try using the search function on this site. This subject has been beaten to death. Hard to say how many topics or comments that have been made on fuel with ethanol subject. You have some who don't have problems and some who claim they do have problems.

87 w/sea foam

I occasionally dump some E-85 in to clean things up a bit and also put in about a quart of diesel to lube things up a bit in my 782. Works great but most of the time I use 87 with 10% ethanol.

91 with Marvels Mystery Oil. Pretty sure it's ethanol free. Unless they changed the law about posting that info on the pumps.

87 no ethanol.
