need help removing pulley
 

i need to know how to get this cluch pulley off. Please

Push in on the clutch to line up the slots with the holes . there is 6 set screws , 2 in each hole. get them out and the front will pull off. then another screw in the bearing. you'll need to tap the locking collar right or left to take it loose from the bearing. pull the bearing , and another set screw in the pulley and pull it.

some fall right off and some not so much.....

Thanks Doug,i'll give it a go. thanks for the fast response also. im swapping the Kholer 10 hp with a Briggs 11hp. so far it is comming together. the cluch side is on. all i had to do was drill a hole in the flywheel and install a pin. there are still some things that need fabrication. as long as the front cluch goes on it is as good as done.

i always put some pb blaster or kroil in the set screw holes just to kinda help em out but dont over do it you dont want the fiber clutch in that pto to get any of that in it

I took out the 6 set screws and the 2 in the pulley and did use PB Blaster but the thing still WILL NOT budge,
The cluch does not or does have to be pressed in? im presuming the cluch is in one piece leaving the larger pulley still on the shaft,correct?

Any sugestions would help,Please.

The pto clutch is one piece, once you get that off you have to remove the pto bearing and locking collar, (2 more set screws i think, maybe one), then you should be able to remove the pulley. I was lucky, my pto clutch came right off when i took the 6 set screws out. I had to buy a gear puller to get the pto bearing off the shaft. I think you can rent one from an auto parts store or agway. the bearing came off real easy with the gear puller. If you got one big enough so the arms go over the pto clutch i would think you could use it to get the clutch off. I didn't have to remove the clutch pulley, so I don't know how difficult that can be getting off.

I came across a video online showing how to get the thing off, a hammer.
