Roadtrip for 86's!
Picked up two 86's today. One really nice shape runner and another mostly complete one for parts. Does anyone have a picture of the original muffler for an 86? The runner has all original tires, great paint, upright exhaust, and a 38 inch deck. The parts tractor needs a clutch, maybe an engine overhaul, but has ag tires and looks promising. Pictures coming soon, it was raining by the time we got back.

Thank you! Does anyone have a picture of the original muffler that these came with?

Nice 86! Looks to be in good shape. The mufflers look like a pepper pot muffler without the holes and a pipe coming out of one side towards the front. Made this way to keep hot exhaust gases from entering the air cleaner. Don't have a pic handy at this point. Those mufflers are hard to find kinda like 169 and 800 mufflers. Of course, my 86 is missing it as well. :bash2:

I remember you said they were hard to find...I really don't need original exhaust, just thought I'd see a pic and keep my eyes open. This is a pretty straight clean 86...but it needs a little carb cleaning and needs some charging work done to it. the shifter is also loose...might need to look up the shifter repair link.
