Head Question
 

I just pulled the head on my k241. I did notice that the head bolts were very loose, but my understanding is that this happens and the bolts require a periodic tightening.

I wanted your opinion about the condition of piston top and the valves. The motor did not smoke even after about a half an hour of running, but you can still see a little oil. I have a new head gasket for it. I was going to clean things up with scotch brite and see how it goes. What do you think? Your help is appreciated.

I would try it.
Just clean it good and torque it down to spec.
Run it long enough to warm it up good and retorque the bolts and it should be good.
