Deck Lift Spool Valve Question

Since I haven't had a hydraulic lift on my previous Cub the deck lift feels a little sticky and I'm wondering if the valve should be self centering, is there a cure or cleaning I can do to resolve this issue? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

YES, the valve is self centering. I spray some PB Blaster on the Spool Valve control shaft and makes my SV work real good.

I have the same issue with my 1450 dual hydo to the point where I have broken 2 spring pins on the solid inner handle. Is there any way to clean the valves out or otherwise correct the sticking?

Take it off, disassemble it, clean it, install new o-rings, sand the rust off the spool, put it together and back in.

Will def start there. Thanks.....I am not too familiar with hydraulics and was unsure what to expect when I took the spool apart. Excellent project for a beautiful day.
