125 neutral adjustment?

Ok, before everyone yells "DOWNLOAD THE MANUAL!" I am doing posts from a phone that for some reason wont allow me to. My question is do I adjust the nuetral position by adjusting the linkage that runs from the handle to the trunion assy? Thanks in advance.

No....Wait until you get to a PC & download the manual as seen in our Technical Library Section. IIRC, around pages 2-70.

Roland you were faster. I was going to post the page number. It's 2-55.

Here's a Youtube link to someone making the adjustment.

This looks like it's way easier on a tractor with a tunnel cover that can come off. I've been pouring over the service manual (because eventually I've got to do mine, probably sooner than later) and I suppose I won't know until I get in there and try it, but how difficult is it to do on a NF? Can the cam bracket bolts be accessed when the tractor is coupled? :bigthink:

NF hydro adjustment ?

Have the same question. Looks akward, and dangerous to do without decoupling. Forever hopeful !!

Guys..... you can't adjust neutral with it out of the tractor. It has to be coupled. Service manual tells you how to do it.

I know it has to be adjusted while together. No other way to tell if the driveshaft isn't connected, etc etc. I've been reading the service manual. What I don't understand is it can't be adjusted the same way on a NF like the video shows because the tunnel cover is in the way. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1FKS15y_WWQ Does one access the cam bolts from underside the machine to tighten them?

I don't know how else you would get to them...... Lay on your back! Or, do what zippy does, actually I do too, and stand it on end!

Just a quick heads up on the cam plate bolts. All the narrow frames I have adjusted I have found the heads are 12pt. Having a fine tooth rachet helps big time as well.:beerchug:
